About
JENNIFER KILLMAN
Jennifer Killman is a mother of three sons attending Mead schools, and is an Interventional Radiology Technologist. She is a volunteer leader at Evergreen Elementary in The Living Classroom, a program that allows all students to learn and grow in an engaging outdoor setting. Our students and community have shown persistence and resilience through the pandemic. We need to use this momentum to engage with students and staff, ensuring we are on track to raise the bar and serve our students an education that will help them fulfill their goals and dreams.

Parental Voices & Rights
In the last few years, Mead parents, staff and citizens' voices have mattered less to some of our board members. In addition, Mead's district policy on public comment makes it difficult to be heard. Parents, not government bodies, are the primary stakeholders of their children. I will advocate for listening to Mead parents, staff and citizens
Curriculum Accountability & Transparency
There are many State Legislation laws that impact education and social norms in Mead. I will advocate for American values such as respect, hard work, transparency and accountability in education. Teaching should be from a non-biased perspective and parents should be welcomed to explore curriculum in all subjects, especially around controversial topics.
Safe Computer Use & Allowances
Computers are often a distraction for our students and excessive screen time often contributes to our children having a hard time engaging in rigorous learning, critical thinking and basic academics. Mead now has a committee of parents, staff and students who oversee the use of computers. I will continue to advocate for adjustments regarding computer usage to improve student mental health and achievement.
